Heidelberg 17. Juni 2006 - Ein Mini-Forumstreffen

Gestern haben wir, das sind Niko, Uli, Mark und ich mit unseren Familien, uns bei Niko im Bot. Garten Heidelberg zu einem kleine, aber feinen Forumstreffen getroffen.
Niko hat das Treffen super vorbereitet und durchgeführt. Dafür möchte ich ihm, sicherlich auch im Namen aller Beteiligten, recht herzlich danken.
Gesehen haben wir nicht nur Kakteen und Sukkulenten, sondern auch all die anderen Schönheiten des Gartens. Darüber werde ich in einem späteren Beitrag berichten.

Anfangs hat uns Niko alles über die Angaben und Zahlen auf den Pflanzenschildern informiert und zum Nachlesen gab es Das noch schriftlich.

Diese Pflanzen hat Walter Rauh nicht selbst gesammelt, sondern es sind Typusaufsammlungen, welche er zugeschickt bekam und dann bestimmt und aufgezeichnet hat. Oft hatten die Pflanzen dann in ihrer Bezeichnung den Namen des Sammlers.

Nach über vier sehr, sehr interessanten und schönen Stunden in den Gewächshäusern haben wir uns noch beim Griechen gestärkt und angeregt unterhalten. Glücklich und zufrieder haben wir unsere Heimreise angetreten. Unser Weg nach Heidelberg zu Niko war zwar nicht der Kürzeste, aber er hat sich mehr als gelohnt.
Ich hoffe,daß ich Euch einen kleine Überblick über unser Treffen geben konnte und daß Ihr vielleicht auch mal den Weg zu Niko nach Heidelberg findet.

Hallo Ida,

Fein, dass Du schon berichten konntest, ganz herzlich Danke!
So haben die Abwesenden doch auch noch ein bisschen was davon...

Ich hatte es ja fest vor, auch zu kommen, musste dann aber doch noch einsehen, dass es noch nicht geht (Gelenk noch zu wenig stabil, um mehr als 1 Std. auf den Beinen zu sein :cry: ) Aber ich habs "gewusst", da verpasse ich eine Menge!
Hätte neben den Pflanzen und dem Garten natürlich auch Euch gerne kennen gelernt!

Vielleicht gibt es sich zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt ?

Hallo Ida!

Vielen Dank für die tolle Seite mit den vielen Bildern. Ich komme ja selbst ins Staunen, was es im Bot. Garten alles zu sehen gibt. Jeder sieht nun mal was anderes. Mir hat es mit Euch auch sehr gefallen und ich habe mich gefreut, Euch wiederzusehen bzw. (Mark) zum ersten mal kennenzulernen. Vielleicht machen wir mal wieder so was in Heidelberg.

Ich will noch eines anmerken: Die Kakteen werden nicht von mir gepflegt, sondern von den Gärtnern, die sich im Sukkulentenrevier sehr engagieren, mehr als sie müssten. Da werden durchaus schon mal Überstunden gemacht, die niemand bezahlt. An dieser Stelle will ich allen Gärtnerinnen und Gärtnern des BotGart ein ganz grosses Dankeschön sagen, dass sie sich so viel Mühe geben, alle Pflanzen am Leben zu erhalten. Leider bekommen sie viel zu selten eine angemessene Anerkennung für ihre Arbeit zu hören, vor allem nicht von den Verantwortlichen bei der Landesregierung in Stuttgart. Von dort gibt es eher Druck.
